ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Sealed bids will be received by the City of Rehoboth Beach for its Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk Repairs/Storm 012316 Project.

Interested Contractors may obtain, for a cost of $100.00, a copy of the contract documents during normal working hours at the Office of the City Manager, City Hall Modular Unit, 229 Rehoboth Avenue, Post Office Box 1163, Rehoboth Beach, Delaware 19971.

The work involves the removal and replacement of the boardwalk decking, removal and replacement of the ledger boards that have been damaged, replacement of water lines to foot showers, and other associated work as detailed on the plans. The limit of work is from Grenoble Place north to Surfside Place as delineated on the project plans.

Sealed bids will be received by the City Manager until 2:00 p.m., local time, on Tuesday, December 20, 2016, in the City Manager’s Office located in the City Hall Modular Unit at 229 Rehoboth Avenue. Bids will be opened on the same day at approximately 2:01 p.m. A mandatory pre bid meeting will be held at the Rehoboth Beach Fire Hall, 2nd floor conference room at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 13, 2016. Attendance at this meeting is mandatory for all prospective bidders and will be a pre-requisite for submitting a bid.

Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope and shall be marked clearly as follows:  Sealed Bid - Proposal for Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk Repairs/Storm 012316 Project.  Requirements for a 10% Bid Bond, 100% Performance Bond, 100% Payment Bond, Maintenance Bond, and Contractor's Insurance are included in the Contract Documents.

Each Bidder must deposit with his Bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instruction for Bidders.  The City of Rehoboth Beach reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and make such award as appears most advantageous to the City.
