Rehoboth PD to participate in National Prescription Drug Take Back Day

Apr 14, 2022

The City of Rehoboth Beach Police Department wants residents to bring them their old, unneeded, or expired – prescription medications, that is. The police department is participating in the DEA’s biennial National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 30. From 10 am-2 pm, residents may drop off expired and unused prescription medications at the police department at 229 Rehoboth Avenue for safe disposal.

Last fall during the most recent Take Back Day event, some 372 tons of prescription drugs were collected from around the country. The initiative provides a convenient and responsible way for residents to dispose of expired or unused prescriptions, helping to limit the potential for abuse or misuse of these medications.
