Commissioners Regular Meeting August 16

The Commissioners Regular Meeting is scheduled for Friday, August 16, 2019, at 3 p.m., in the City Hall Commissioners Room on the second floor. The meeting agenda includes:

Public Hearing on the subject of amending the Municipal Code, Chapter 270, Section 270-4 and inserting a new Section 270-46.1.2 relating to the location, placement, construction and maintenance of tower-based wireless communications facilities, non-tower wireless communications facilities and small wireless communications facilities and the regulation of such facilities.

Old Business

A. Consideration and possible vote on Utility Rates Working Group rate proposals.

B. Consideration and possible vote on imposing a hotel lodging tax and implementation of such tax on rooms in a hotel, motel or tourist home located within the boundaries of the City.

C. Consideration and possible vote on creating a new City committee focused on the natural environment.

New Business

A. Presentation by Village Improvement Association (VIA) request for permission to have two Delaware Public Archives Historical Markers:

1. To install on the Boardwalk at the entrance to the beach celebrating the VIA's installation of the Surf Safety Line.

2. To install near the berm at the entrance to Rehoboth Avenue celebrating the VIA's purchase and maintenance of the Lighthouse located on the berm at the entrance to Rehoboth Avenue.
