REHOBOTH WOMAN ASSAULTS BOYFRIEND AND KICKS OFFICER

Erin N. Chisenhall, 24, of Rehoboth Beach, Del. was charged with offensive touching of a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest Saturday (06/30/18) evening after police were called to Country Club Estates after residents observed Chisenhall punching her boyfriend.

At around 8:30pm, Rehoboth Beach Police responded to Sandalwood Street where they contacted the victim, a 25 year male, who was bleeding from his forehead.  Subsequent to an on scene investigation, police were able to determine that the victim’s injuries were caused by Chisenhall punching him multiple times.

Police were able to locate Chisenhall, who showed signs of intoxication, in the area. Officers were forced to restrain Chisenhall when she ignored their commands and attempted to walk away from them.  As Chisenhall was being taken into custody she kicked one of the officer in the leg multiple times.       

Chisenhall was arrested and charged with 1 count of felony resisting arrest with force or violence, 1 count of offensive touching of a law enforcement officer, 1 count of third degree assault, and 1 count of disorderly conduct.  The last three charges are all misdemeanor offenses.

Chisenhall was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in lieu of $1800.00 cash secured bail.

The officer who was kicked was uninjured.
