SUSPECTS IDENTIFIED IN THEFT

With the assistance of the public, the Rehoboth Beach Police Department has identified both subjects pictured in the surveillance video released Sunday, July 22nd, 2018. 

On Monday (07/23/18) evening at around 8:00pm, Anthony E. Coghill, 19, of Rehoboth Beach, Del. turned himself in to police at the Rehoboth Beach Police Department for his involvement in a theft that occurred on Saturday, July 14th, 2018.  At around 3:30pm, Coghill entered the Beach Arcade located along the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk and stole an unattended wallet and Apple iPhone that were unintentionally left on an arcade game.   Coghill concealed the items in a towel and left store.  The wallet contained money and a gift card. 

Based on the findings of the investigation, the female accompanying Coghill in the previously released surveillance photos was not charged. 

Coghill was arrested and charged with 1 misdemeanor count of theft of lost or mislaid property valued at under $1500.00.

Coghill was released on $500.00 unsecured bail.
