Rehoboth Beach Police are investigating a serious motor vehicle accident involving a motorcycle and vehicle.
On Sunday, August 30, 2015 at approximately 3:00pm Rehoboth Police responded to the area of Rehoboth Avenue at Christian Street in reference to a serious motor vehicle collision. Through the course of investigation it was determined that Jeffrey Milcarek, 25 of Rehoboth was operating a 2014 Yamaha motorcycle eastbound on Rehoboth Avenue when the motorcycle struck the driver side of a 1996 Toyota Camry being operated by Carmen Chinchilla, 42 also of Rehoboth. Milcarek who was wearing a helmet was initially transported to Beebe health care with multiple injuries and then later transferred to Christiana Hospital, Chinchilla was not injured.
Rehoboth Beach Police, with the assistance of the Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) are still investigating the collision to determine if speed or any other circumstances were factors in the crash.
