Rehoboth Police Arrest Rehoboth Pair for Vehicle Break-Ins and Thefts

Gina L. Sautter, 43, of Rehoboth and Dustin D. Manahan, 27, of Rehoboth were both arrested for their roles in a series of vehicle break-ins and thefts.  Rehoboth Beach Police began investigating a series of thefts from vehicles that began occurring in the last week of May and continued through the first week of June.  During the course of investigation Gina L. Sautter was identified through various security cameras throughout the city committing several crimes.  Through the investigation it was determined that Sautter and Manahan teamed up and committed multiple thefts from vehicles, thefts from newspaper machines and theft of property left unsecured, including two purses left unattended.  Sautter was also identified in security footage attempting to use stolen credit cards.  

 

Gina L. Sautter was arrested on June 11th without incident and charged with 2-Counts of Theft from a Senior, 1-Count of Conspiracy 2nd Degree, 8-Counts of Criminal Trespass 3rd Degree, 8-Counts of Conspiracy 3rd Degree, 1-Count of Criminal Mischief, 6-Counts of Theft under $1500, 1-Count of Theft of Lost or Mislaid Property, 2-Counts of Attempted Unlawful Use of a Credit Card.   Dustin Manahan was arrested on June 12th  with the assistance of Delaware State Police Troop 7 after a brief foot chase.  Manahan was charged with 3-Counts of Theft from a Senior, 3-Counts of Conspiracy 2nd, 10-Counts of Criminal Trespass 3rd Degree, 15-Counts of Conspiracy 3rd Degree, 7-Counts of Criminal Mischief, 14-Counts of Theft under $1500, 1-Count of Theft of Lost or Mislaid Property, and 2-Counts of Attempted Unlawful Use of Credit Card.  Manahan and Sautter remain incarcerated in Sussex Correctional Institute in default of $60,000 and $26,000 cash and secured bonds.

 

Multiple agencies, including Delaware State Police and Lewes Police Department worked together to link the couple to additional crimes inside and outside of the City of Rehoboth Beach.  Delaware State Police and Lewes Police Department filed additional charges against both Sautter and Manahan.  Additional warrants are on file for Gina Sautter in Rehoboth Beach and additional charges are forthcoming for both subjects.  All of the thefts occurred from unsecured vehicles and unattended property.  Rehoboth Beach Police Department reminds all of our residents to make sure their vehicles and property are always secure.  Anyone with additional information is asked to contact Lt.
