Rehoboth Police Arrest Men for Criminal Mischief and Disorderly Behavior

On Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at approximately 1:30am a Rehoboth Seasonal Police Officer observed two intoxicated male subjects in the area of Baltimore Avenue and First Street knocking over and throwing objects including trash cans and newspaper boxes.  Both subjects, later identified as Paul Bertram, 21 of Washington D.C. and Samuel Mason, 21 of Bethesda, Maryland were taken into custody.  The two male subjects were transported back to the Rehoboth Beach Police Department where the subjects became disorderly once again and began urinating and vomiting on the floor area of the holding room.  Both Bertram and Mason were charged with 2-Counts of Disorderly Conduct, 2-Counts of Criminal Mischief, 1-Count of Conspiracy 3rd  Degree, 1- Count of Failure to Comply with Fingerprints, 1-Count of Littering on The Highway and 1-Count of Littering on the Highway. Mason was charged with an additional count of theft under $1500 for theft of property from a local restaurant.  Paul Bertram was committed to Sussex Correctional Institute in default of $1752.00 secured bail.  Samuel Mason was committed to Sussex Correctional Institute in default of $2,102.00 secured bail due to the additional theft charge.  Both subjects are scheduled to appear in the Court of Court of Common Pleas at a later date.
