Rehoboth Beach Police Arrest Lincoln Man For Multiple Drug Charges

Jonathan HarrisOn 12/22/14 the Rehoboth Beach Police arrested Jonathan L. Harris, 38 of Lincoln, DE for multiple drug related charges following a month long investigation.  Rehoboth Beach Police began investigating after information was received that Harris was involved in the distribution of cocaine and crack cocaine in the area of 4th Street, Rehoboth Beach.  Rehoboth Police began working with Delaware State Police GTF Units and Troop 4 Detectives throughout the investigation which subsequently led to the arrest of Jonathan L. Harris on 12/22/14.    On 12/22/14, Harris was observed consuming marijuana while operating a vehicle and transporting a small child.  Harris was contacted in the area of 7-Eleven, Rehoboth Beach where he resisted arrest and attempted to destroy evidence.   Harris’ arrest resulted in the seizure of approximately 25 grams of cocaine, 2.8 grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, $200 USC. 

Harris was charged with 1-Count of Possession of a Controlled Substance in a Tier 5 quantity, 2- Counts of Tampering with Physical Evidence, 1-Resisting Arrest with Force, 1-Count Offensive Touching Law Enforcement, 1-Count Possession of Marijuana with an Aggravating Factor, 1-Count Possession of Marijuana, 1-Count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child while DUI, 1-Count of Resisting Arrest, 1-Count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, 1-Count of Criminal Mischief under $1000,  and 1-Count of Drug Related DUI.  Harris was released after posting a $29,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in the Court of Common Pleas on January 30th for a preliminary hearing.
