On Tuesday, June 20th, at around 1:45pm, Rehoboth Beach Police were called to Rehoboth Auto Repair located along Coastal Highway in the forgotten mile area of Rehoboth Beach for a report of multiple thefts from vehicles.

Upon arrival officers learned that between Friday, June 16th, at around 6pm and Tuesday, June 20th, at around 1:30pm, unknown suspect(s) had entered four separate vehicles parked at the business and removed property from each consisting of loose change, prescription medication, and 3 baseball caps. Three of the vehicles were reported to have been locked by Rehoboth Auto Repair and the other, which was parked off the property, was not.

Rehoboth Police are asking that anyone with information please contact Detective Tyler Whitman at (302) 524-1391.  Those with information can also submit a tip through the police department website or via our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/rehobothbeachpolice.

Rehoboth Police remind residents and visitors alike that a majority of theft from vehicle cases involve UNLOCKED cars parked near the owner’s residence or place of business.  No matter where you are ALWAYS LOCK YOUR DOORS. This type of theft is usually a crime of opportunity.
