Rehoboth Beach Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect or suspects responsible for spraying painting graffiti on the Sandcastle Hotel and the Beachside Bar and Grill.

On Tuesday (07/19/16) at around 10:30am, Rehoboth Beach Police were called to the Sandcastle Hotel in the 100 block of Second Street for a vandalism complaint in which an unknown suspect spray painted graffiti on the premise in four different locations throughout the parking garage and a stairwell.

At around noon, officers were called to a second location at the Beachside Bar and Grill in the third block of Rehoboth Avenue in reference to another report of vandalism involving graffiti.  Responding officers observed the same style graffiti images spray painted on an outdoor freezer located behind the restaurant.

Investigators believe that the “tagging” or spray painting of the graffiti occurred sometime between midnight and 10:30am on Tuesday, July 19th.

The different graffiti images, pictured above, all display the letters “OPM”. Two of the images display an image of a small heart over the letters “OPM” while two others have the letters “OPM” enclosed in a syringe.

Anyone with information in regards to these incidents is asked to please contact Detective Tyler Whitman at (302) 524-1391 or message the Rehoboth Beach Police Department via our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/rehobothbeachpolice or send us a message via our website.

Those with information can also submit a tip through Delaware Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-847-3333 or online at http://delaware.crimestoppersweb.com.
