INTOXICATED WOMAN BLOCKS TRAFFIC & RESISTS ARREST

Hannah Cain, 25, of Albuquerque, NM was arrested for being intoxicated in the roadway and resisting arrest by Rehoboth Beach Police Sunday (05/27/18) evening.

At around 11:30pm, Rehoboth Beach Police were call to the 300 block of Rehoboth Avenue for a report of an intoxicated person in the middle of the roadway.  When they arrived, officers located Cain in the middle of Rehoboth Avenue and observed that traffic was stopping to avoid striking her.  When officers attempted to remove Cain from the roadway she refused.  Cain was placed under arrest and struggled against officers attempting to place her in handcuffs and into a patrol car for transport to the police department.

No one was injured as a result of Cain’s resistance.

Cain was arrested and charged with 1 count of resisting arrest, 1 count of disorderly conduct, and 1 count of drunk on a highway. 

Cain was committed to Sussex Correction Institution on $501.00 secured bail.
