City hires new Code Enforcement Officer

The City of Rehoboth Beach announces that Dennis Jeney has been hired as the new Code Enforcement Officer.  Dennis comes with a wealth of experience within the industry, having spent the last 32 years in the United States Air Force. For the past ten years Dennis has worked in the national capital region in the area of policy. He joins the city with an extensive background in inspections and code regulations. Dennis is a graduate of the American Military University and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Legal Studies.

Sharon Lynn, City Manager, said “Dennis’s experience and industry knowledge has already made him a key addition to the City of Rehoboth Beach. It is fortunate that we were able to find someone of his caliber to fulfill this position. I’m confident that Dennis will play a key role in providing and implementing high quality code enforcement for our city.”

Dennis started in his position October 20. Dennis and his wife relocated to Delaware in July from Joint Base Andrews in Maryland. Dennis comments “I am looking forward to working with city staff, residents and businesses. Delaware has been very welcoming to us and we are looking forward to being involved in the community.”
