Cinema by the Surf to present “The Little Mermaid” July 19

Jul 12, 2018

The Rehoboth Beach Bandstand continues the Cinema by the Surf, a series of free family movies, on Thursday, July 19, starting at 8 p.m., with The Little Mermaid. In Disney’s beguiling animated romp, rebellious 16-year-old mermaid Ariel is fascinated with life on land. On one of her visits to the surface, which are forbidden by her controlling father, King Triton, she falls for a human prince. Determined to be with her new love, Ariel makes a dangerous deal with the sea witch Ursula to become human for three days. But when plans go awry for the star-crossed lovers, the king must make the ultimate sacrifice for his daughter. “We are proud to partner with WSFS Bank in providing these films for families to enjoy free of charge. Providing a unique opportunity to enjoy these films outside, steps from the beach and under the stars, is something that locals and visitors will hopefully build lasting memories of Rehoboth Beach for years to come,” said Bandstand Program Director Corey Groll. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information, visit rehobothbandstand.com.
