Advertisement for Street Repaving and Repairs Bids

Sealed bids will be received by the City of Rehoboth Beach for its Y2015 Street Repaving and Repairs Project.

Interested Contractors may obtain a copy of the Contract Documents during normal working hours at the Office of the City Manager, Municipal Building, 229 Rehoboth Avenue, Post Office Box 1163, Rehoboth Beach, Delaware 19971.

The base bid work involves the furnishing of all labor, materials, transportation, tools, supplies and equipment necessary to perform taper milling, patching, drainage improvement, curb ramp construction and paving on Oak Street, First Street to Second Street and  Hickman Street, from State Road to Laurel Street.  Add Alternate 1, includes taper milling, patching, curb ramp construction and paving on Hickman St from Laurel Street to Country Club Drive, or as much of Hickman St as funding allows.

Sealed bids will be received by the City Manager until 11:30 a.m., Thursday, September 3, 2015 in the City Manager’s Office located in the Municipal Building at 229 Rehoboth Avenue.  Bids will be opened on same day at the same location at approximately 11:31 a.m.  A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at the Municipal Building at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 27, 2015 in the City Commissioners Room.  Attendance at this meeting is mandatory for all prospective bidders and will be a pre-requisite for submitting a bid.

Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope and shall be marked clearly as follows: Sealed Bid - Proposal for Y2015 Street Repaving and Repairs Program.  Requirements for a 10% Bid Bond, 100% Performance Bond, 100% Payment Bond, Maintenance Bond and Contractor's Insurance are included in the Contract Documents.

Prevailing State wage rates will apply on this project.

Each Bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information to Bidders.  The City of Rehoboth Beach reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to make such award as appears most advantageous to the City.
