Outdoor Dining on Public Space License

The City of Rehoboth Beach recognizes that outdoor dining is popular with residents and visitors and adds to the welcoming character of the city. In an effort to expand outdoor dining options, the city has made provisions for restaurants who meet established criteria related to maintaining a sufficient pedestrian access route and other standards to use public space for outdoor dining.

In order for an establishment to provide outdoor dining on public spaces, a restaurant must apply for an annual license from the City of Rehoboth Beach. The policy below outlines required standards and other important information. The application below should be submitted to the city's business and licensing department on an annual basis. Licenses are valid for one year, from January 1-December 31.
