Rehoboth Beach Police Seek Identity of Burglary Suspect

On Wednesday, July 29, 2015, Rehoboth Beach Police responded to 56 Baltimore Avenue, Hobo’s Restaurant, for a reported burglary to the restaurant.

Through the course of investigation it was determined that unknown suspect(s) entered the location through an unsecured window sometime between Tuesday 07/28/15 evening and Wednesday 07/29/15.  While inside the location the suspect(s) removed an Acer brand laptop, a Toshiba brand laptop, approximately 20 bottles of various brands of beer, and a credit card. It was determined that the suspect (pictured), a black male, in his late 20’s early 30’s, approximately 5’-09” 5’10’, muscular build used the stolen credit card to purchase items at various locations in and around Scranton, York and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on 08/04/15-08/05/15, including the following:

  • Dollar General 1500 N. George Street, York, Pennsylvania on 08/05/15 at 1:12pm
  • Dollar General, 383 Meridian Avenue, Scranton Pennsylvania on 08/05/15 at 7:19pm
  • Wal-Mart Supercenter #4276, 1325 South Main Street, Taylor, Pennsylvania on 08/05/15 @8:14pm

The suspect who was caught on multiple surveillance cameras used the stolen credit card at the following locations in the same general area including; Dino’s Italian Bistro, CITGO, Weiss Markets and G.N.C.  Rehoboth Police are awaiting additional surveillance footage of the suspect’s vehicle which was captured by nearby businesses.
