New Shuttle Service Proposed in Rehoboth Beach

Jan 08, 2020

During the Commissioners workshop meeting on Monday, January 6, 2020, Transit U Incorporated and the Jolly Trolley proposed a new shuttle service to the City of Rehoboth Beach. The route would connect Grove Park, the Deauville Beach Parking Lot, and the south end of the Boardwalk to downtown. The goal of the shuttle is to free up parking and reduce traffic in town. The service proposed with two trolleys would operate from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend. The cost would be $1 per ride or $3 to ride all day. The projected operating cost to the City of Rehoboth Beach is $1,000 per day. The City will continue discussing exact routes, times and stops along with budget priorities in the upcoming months.
