With the summer season at about the mid-way point, the City of Rehoboth Beach has been delivering on its promise to serve up toe-tapping, sing-along, fun family entertainment every summer weekend to visitors to the “Nation’s Summer Capital.”
This coming weekend’s performers demonstrate the quality and variety of the bandstand summer lineup. This Friday, July 23, the stage will be set for Satisfaction/The International Rolling Stones Show. Satisfaction is an international touring tribute to the World's Greatest Rock & Roll Band. This Billboard highly ranked production has over 20 years touring experience with more than 4,000 performances worldwide to its credit.
The likenesses of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and cast bring a colorful performance to over 50 years of classic hits. Satisfaction has been featured in Rolling Stone, Showbiz, Las Vegas Today, CBS Sunday Morning News, and hundreds of national newspapers, magazines, television, and radio programs as the world’s greatest show honoring the Rolling Stones and the band’s legacy.
One of the summer’s most popular and entertaining groups, 70’s Flashback – The Soundtrack of a Generation, makes an annual return to the Rehoboth Bandstand Saturday, July 24.
Comprised of seven veteran musicians, 70’s Flashback pays tribute to the greatest groups and artists of the decade and, through the group’s true passion for the music, brings that original excitement to both a new generation as well as to those who experienced it the first time.
70’s Flashback invites its audiences to step back in time as it brings to life on stage this incredible soundtrack of a generation. From Carole King and Three Dog Night, to the Doobie Brothers and Led Zeppelin, to Studio 54 and CBGB, 70’s Flashback’s stellar harmonies and note-for-note musical re-creations leave fans with a deeper appreciation for the music of this historic decade.
The coming weekend closes out on an energetic note and party vibe Sunday, July 25, when Legacy cranks up the tunes. Do not pack away your dancing shoes!
“This year’s lineup has been a work in progress for the last two years,” says Bandstand Program Director Corey Groll, “and we’re thrilled to have the music and audience back in Rehoboth Beach. With such a range of talented musicians and entertainers, each weekend brings a fresh, fun musical experience to the bandstand. We hope all of our visitors – and residents – are able to enjoy the free entertainment that the City of Rehoboth offers during the summer months.”
All concerts are sponsored by the City of Rehoboth Beach, are free, and begin at 8 pm. The Rehoboth Beach Bandstand Summer Concert Series continues through September 4. For a complete 2021event list and performance descriptions, visit rehobothbandstand.com.
