Tree Lighting and Holiday Sing-Along Nov. 25

Nov 21, 2016

The official kickoff to the 2016 holiday season will be Rehoboth Beach Main Street’s Tree Lighting & Sing-Along at the Bandstand on Friday, November 25, from 6:30-7:00 p.m. This year’s tree has been generously donated anonymously. Doug Yetter and the Village Improvement Association Chorus will host the sing-along and officially illuminate the city’s most famous tree. Drexel Davison, owner of Bad Hair Day, will be the emcee and dancers from Sussex Dance Academy will be dressed in costume from The Nutcracker passing out candy canes to the crowd. Song lyrics for the sing-along will be available to Cape Gazette subscribers in the Tis the Season holiday guide insert coming out on November 22 and on newsstands Black Friday, November 25.

Everyone is invited to this cherished annual tradition where thousands of spectators gather to ring in the holiday spirit in downtown Rehoboth Beach. Come early and stay late. After the tree is lit, enjoy dinner with your friends and family and do your holiday shopping downtown. For more information, call 302-227-2772, or visit www.downtownrb.com.
