REHOBOTH BEACH POLICE COLLECT OLD PRESCRIPTIONS ON DRUG TAKE BACK DAY

Oct 29, 2018

Sometimes medicine cabinets are home to expired prescriptions. But law enforcement agencies offer people a safe place to get rid of unwanted prescription drugs. Saturday marked another “National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.” The day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the public about the potential for abuse of medications. Law enforcement offices across the country participated in the collection. The Rehoboth Beach Police Department collected over 57 pounds of unwanted medications. By turning over unwanted or expired medication, it not only keeps the environment clean but also prevents pills from getting into the wrong hands.
