Notice of Paving Schedule

The City of Rehoboth Beach has contracted A-Del Construction to perform paving work on Philadelphia Street from Scarborough Avenue to King Charles Avenue and Third Street from Lake Avenue to Columbia Avenue. This project is part of the Annual Paving Program that protects the City’s investment in the street infrastructure by maintaining and repairing streets. Concrete work is underway in advance of paving. The paving is expected to begin in early March and be completed by the end of the month. Please note that any inclement weather or unforeseen conditions may cause delays to this schedule.

During this work, sections of the road will be closed to thru traffic but will be open to local traffic. Advance road closure signage will be erected, and signed detour routes will be provided to direct motorists around the road closure. Personnel on-site will coordinate any driveway disruptions/closures with residents to minimize the length of closure and to ensure alternate parking arrangements are made. It is expected that closure of your driveway should not take more than half a day.

We request that when driving or walking through and around the construction area that you follow and obey the construction traffic signage for your safety and the safety of the workers. The scheduled work hours are Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
