Robert J. Cannon, 44 of Milford, DE, was arrested on Sunday, October 20th for entering a vehicle belonging to another and damaging the interior on Baltimore Avenue in downtown Rehoboth Beach.
Just after 7:00 a.m., officers were called to the area of Baltimore Avenue at the intersection of First Street where the victim alleged that Cannon was inside the victim’s vehicle. During their investigation, officers were able to confirm that Cannon had been in the vehicle and that damage had been done to the interior of the vehicle. Once under arrest, Cannon was found to be in possession of prescription medications that were not his and other drug related paraphernalia.
Cannon was charged with burglary in the third degree, which is a felony. He was also charged with two counts of possessing a controlled substance, one count of criminal mischief under $1,500.00, and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Cannon was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in default of $2,150.00 cash bond.
