Vehicle Equipment Repair Technician

Under the supervision of the Fleet Maintenance Manager, performs semi-skilled and skilled mechanical work maintaining and repairing the city fleet of vehicles and equipment. Performs diagnosis, routine and specialized maintenance, and repairs on motorized equipment including trash trucks, police cars, tractors, tractor-trailers, dump trucks, backhoes, and other equipment. Must be at least 18 years of age with a vocational school, high school, GED diploma, and one to three years of related work experience. A valid Delaware driver's license is required. A valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A with Trailer and Tank endorsement a plus. 

Fleet Maintenance Manager

Under the general supervision of the Director of Public Works, leads the activities of the city's maintenance department to ensure proper maintenance of the city's fleet of vehicles and equipment. Supervises and manages the work of the city vehicle repair technicians. Oversees the preventative maintenance program to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with city policies and regulations. Orders and maintains inventory and equipment. Oversees annual city auction and vehicle inspections. Must be at least 18 years of age with a vocational school. high school. GED diploma, and five years of related work experience. Delaware driver's license is required. A valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A with Trailer and tank endorsements a plus.
