DelDOT announces start of Rehoboth Ave. portion of the Pedestrian Improvements Project March 1

Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces that JJID General Contractor will be starting the Rehoboth Avenue portion of the Pedestrian Improvements Project on Wednesday, March 1, and is scheduled to be completed by April 30, 2017.

Sidewalk and curb replacement will occur Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. through 9 p.m.

The project will enhance pedestrian safety in the beach area by ensuring areas of the sidewalk comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Motorists should anticipate restricted on-street parking and closure of the right travel lane during work hours.

When necessary, a flagger will be provided to maintain driveway entrances adjacent to the work area.
