The Commissioners of Rehoboth Beach will hold a virtual special meeting*** on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at 3 p.m.

PLEASE NOTE - AS PERMITTED BY GUBERNATORIAL AUTHORITY, IN ORDER TO LIMIT THE RISK OF POTENTIAL COVID-19 EXPOSURE, THE PUBLIC SHALL BE DENIED ENTRY TO THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS SPECIAL MEETING.(1)  THE PUBLIC IS ENCOURAGED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS SPECIAL MEETING ELECTRONICALLY.  FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS ARE LISTED AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS AGENDA.

4. The purpose of this Special Meeting is to:

     A. Receive update with statistics on outdoor dining permitted from April 1 to October 31, 2021, including but not limited to eateries providing on-sidewalk dining with or without the need for pedestrian ways/traffic barriers, accessible ramps and retailers using sidewalk space for merchandise racks.

     B. Receive update on Rehoboth Beach Main Street's program and timeline to fund rental of traffic barriers, purchase of planters, etc.

     C. Receive update on state pandemic responses and requirements including mask wearing, social distancing, indoor restaurant capacity limits, indoor shopping, etc.

     D. Discussion of pandemic response including but not limited to how this summer might differ from last summer, program for issuance of masks, education program, enforcement program and issues already being managed by the Chief of Police

**The Board of Commissioners is holding this meeting under the authority issued by Governor John C. Carney through Proclamation No. 17-3292.(1)  The meeting will be conducted using video-conference technology.

Members of the public wishing to speak will be required to pre-register with Ann Womack, City Secretary, at [email protected] at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance of the meeting.

Citizen comment will be administered by a moderator to ensure everyone has an opportunity to comment.  You will not be able to speak until called upon by the moderator.

Registered members of the public joining the meeting on the phone or by computer will be provided an opportunity to make comments during the agenda items after discussion by the Board of Commissioners or at the discretion of the Chair and prior to any vote being taken.  Speakers shall state their name and address.  Comments are limited to three (3) minutes or at the discretion of the Chair.

Public presentations are not allowed without the prior approval of the Mayor.

The City will stream this meeting using the same technology it uses during its chamber broadcast that can be viewed on the City portal at /Portal/ or YouTube.  This stream will broadcast the meeting, the public will not be able to comment or speak using this broadcast.  The stream will experience a 30-second delay.

The Board of Commissioners meeting materials, including the "packet", are electronically accessible on the City's portal at /Portal/.

If any member of the public would like to submit comments electronically, please feel free to send them to Ann Womack, City Secretary, at [email protected].  All comments shall be submitted at least two (2) full business days prior to the meeting date to allow for proper distribution.
