City of Rehoboth Beach Participates in National Prescription Drug Take Back Day

Apr 15, 2021

The City of Rehoboth Beach will participate in the National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 24.

People are invited to drop off any unused, unwanted or expired prescription drugs to the lobby of the City’s Police Department at 229 Rehoboth Avenue between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.  There will be no questions to answer or forms to fill out.

“This event aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating our community about the potential for abuse of medications,” says City of Rehoboth Beach Police Chief Keith Banks.

This annual event is sponsored by U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. Law enforcement agencies across the country partner with the DEA to remove unwanted prescription drugs from home medicine cabinets and dispose of them in a safe manner.
