The City of Rehoboth Beach is gearing up for its annual auction, coming up on Saturday, March 30, 2019, at the Rehoboth Convention Center. The City will sell a large array of items with which it has decided to part ways. The auction is used by City department heads to dispose of items they no longer need or can use. The items vary from vehicles to electronics to things people leave behind at lost and found. Another big-ticket item each year are bicycles. The Police Department picks up a lot of bicycles each year that are never claimed. The City contracts with Emmert Auction who runs the auction and handles most of the event. The auction starts at 9:30 a.m., but items can be viewed Friday, March 29, 2019, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, please call 302-227-1433 or emmertauctions.com.
