City of Rehoboth Beach announces live streaming of commissioner meetings

Nov 02, 2018

Rehoboth Beach residents who may not have the opportunity to attend city meetings but who have an interest in seeing their local government in action may now view the meetings over the internet. The City of Rehoboth Beach is proud to announce that all commissioner meetings, excluding executive sessions, will be live and available to the public to view in real time. Meetings can be viewed by clicking on the video button above each commissioner meeting agenda at cityofrehoboth.civicweb.net/portal or by navigating to youtube.com/c/rehobothbeach. “Starting November 5, we will be streaming meetings live,” said City Manager Sharon Lynn. “Each of these meetings will also be archived in a searchable fashion to allow anyone with access to a computer the ability to view the meetings at their convenience.” Please check the city calendar for the next scheduled meeting. “Our goal is to increase the engagement of citizens in their local government,” said Lynn. “People often begin and end their engagement with the local government at the ballot box. With the implementation of this program, people can attend each meeting virtually, thereby increasing their knowledge of the city and its decisions.” For more information, please contact the Communications Department at 302-227-6181 ext. 522 or [email protected].
