ATTEMPT TO IDENTIFY HIT & RUN VEHICLE

Rehoboth Beach Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a vehicle that fled the scene of a hit and run collision in the early morning hours of August 1st, 2018. 

Through investigative efforts Rehoboth Beach Police believe that at around 1:30am a silver Chevrolet Tracker, possibly a model year 2002-2005, struck a vehicle parked along the shoulder of Sussex Street just east of Fourth Street.  As a result of the collision, the struck vehicle was forced onto the shoulder of the roadway and sustained extensive, disabling damage. 

Parts of the Chevrolet Tracker were left behind on scene and are pictured. Also pictured is a representation of the make, model, and style of the suspect vehicle. 

It is unknown if the operator of the vehicle was injured in the collision.

Anyone with information as to the location of the vehicle or the identity of the owner and/or operator is asked to please contact Cpl. Anyone having contact with the suspect vehicle is asked to immediately call 911.
