IT Support Technician

Job Description

The City of Rehoboth Beach is currently seeking an IT Support Technician for effective installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktop hardware, software, and related systems.
This individual will be the primary point of contact for internal staff support issues and shall participate in a small team responsible for all technical, operational, and security issues concerning the City's technology infrastructure and applications.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be able to pass DELJIS (Delaware Criminal Justice Information System) background check
  • A high school diploma (or GED equivalent)
  • At least one (1) to three (3) years of related work experience
  • Possession of a standard driver license
  • Knowledge and experience of operating systems, software, hardware, and networks
  • Afterhours support and other duties as assigned

Preferred Skills

  • Familiar managing mobile device fleets (phones, tablets, laptops)
  • Familiar with Active Directory, Group Policy, RDS, DHCP, DNS

  • Ability to prioritize requests, organize, schedule, and coordinate a variety of activities and projects
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users

A standard driver’s license is required. Must pass a pre-employment drug screening test, a physical examination and background investigation. Competitive wage and benefit package.
