This project focused on improving storm drainage on and under Delaware Avenue and the Boardwalk and was completed in 2019. The work area encompassed Delaware Avenue from First Street to the Boardwalk and the Boardwalk from Brooklyn Avenue to Wilmington Avenue. The contractor for this project was SAK Construction.
Nothing lasts forever. Even the pipes that move stormwater from streets to streams wear out with age. Storm Drainage Improvement Projects repair, replace, and install new infrastructure when it deteriorates. Investing in infrastructure reduces flood risks, protects public safety, improves surface water quality, and enhances our community.
