On Saturday 02/14/15 at approximately 4:30pm, Rehoboth Police responded to Khalsa Jewelers in the 100 block of Rehoboth Avenue in reference to a fraudulent check. Through the course of investigation it was determined that the suspect (shown in picture) entered the business at approximately 2:45pm and provided a check in the amount of $19,800 for a 14kt gold diamond bracelet. The suspect, described as white male in his 50’s, with dark hair, wearing a dark colored business suit, glasses and blue button down shirt left the location in an unknown direction. While at the location, the suspect made several statements about purchasing local real estate and opening a business and is possibly from the District of Columbia area.
