On July 2, 2015 at 12:10 am a 21 year old male victim from Williamsport, PA made contact with a Rehoboth Police bike officer in the area of Delaware Avenue and 2nd Street in reference to an assault that occurred approximately five minute prior.
The victim advised the officer that he was walking westbound on Delaware Avenue just west of 1st Street when a black male, approximately 5’10”-6’ 00” tall, slender build, shaved head wearing a black and red t-shirt and shorts, approached him walking east on
Delaware Avenue and asked him where the main road was. The 21 year old victim advised the suspect that he believed the main road was one block over and pointed north. The victim then advised that as the suspect walked past him and for an unknown reason struck him in the back of the head and neck area with an unknown object. The victim advised that the suspect then ran east on Delaware Avenue and then south on King Charles Street. The surrounding area was searched but the suspect was not located. The victim received minor injuries to the back of the neck and head area.
