Susan L. Terrillion, 55, of Olney, Md. was arrested for endangering the welfare of her children after police responded to the 200 block of Country Club Drive on Tuesday (08/16/16) for a report of two young children alone at a residence unsupervised.

At around 7:30pm, officers responded to Country Club Drive for a report of unsupervised children in a residence called in by a witness.  Upon arrival, police met with the witness who had contact with the children when their dogs ran into Country Club Drive in front of his vehicle.  The witness stopped to help the children get control of the dogs and learned that they were home alone.

Further investigation revealed that Terrillion allowed her children, a 9 year old boy and an 8 year girl, to stay at their vacation rental by themselves, unsupervised while she left to go to a restaurant approximately 5 miles away to pick up food.  It is estimated that Terrillion was gone from the residence for at least 45 minutes.

Neither the children nor the dogs were injured.

Terrillion was arrested for 2 counts of endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor offense,  and released on $500.00 unsecured bail.

Presented by PIO Lt. Jaime Riddle.
