Local Man Arrested for Bike Theft

On 02/07/15 at approximately 10:30 pm Rehoboth Police responded to the 100 block of North First Street for a reported theft of a bike.  While on location officers were able to view surveillance footage of the suspect that was captured by the victim. The suspect was observed pacing around for approximately 20 minutes before removing the bike from the location. The suspect was positively identified by police as Victor P. Orth, 68 of Rehoboth through surveillance footage. Orth was arrested on 02/09/15 for theft and the stolen bicycle was recovered at his residence. Orth was released on a $250.00 unsecured bond and is scheduled to appear in the Justice of the Peace Court on 03/11/15.
