Lake Drive Construction Notification

For the past two (2) months, the City of Rehoboth Beach has been working with a local contractor to provide water and sewer service to the residents of Lake Drive.  The City wishes to thank the residents for understanding the numerous inconveniences that accompany a project of this nature. The project has been successful in ensuring that all residents of the City have water and sewer service.

Thanks to your continued understanding and patience, the Contractor has been able to complete the project ahead of schedule and anticipates paving Lake Drive on Monday, June 29, 2015.  Due to the type of work being completed, as well as concern for safety, the street will be closed to all vehicular and pedestrian traffic between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. during the paving operation.  Local property owners will be able to access their properties by foot but all other foot traffic will be prohibited.  Efforts will be made to minimize impacts to your schedules, although some may be unavoidable considering the nature of the work.

Vehicles should not be parked on Lake Drive between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to allow the City’s contractor to safely complete the paving as quickly as possible. 

We apologize in advance for any inconveniences that may occur. The paving will mark the end of the traffic disruptions for the Lake Drive project.
