The incident is still being investigated but here are the facts of the case thus far;
On Saturday 08/30/14 at approximately 3:50 pm, officers responded to the Dynasty Jewelry Store at 42 Rehoboth Avenue for a reported strong armed robbery. Officers were advised by the female clerk that two black males and one black female entered Dynasty Jewelers just prior to 4:00pm. While inside the store, they stood in a tight group in front of the display case blocking the view of the clerk who was on the other side of the store. At the same time, one of the black male suspects lifted up the top glass of the display case and removed a tray with an estimated 7 diamond rings fastened to it.
The female clerk realized what the subjects were doing and approached the subjects demanding that the jewelry be returned. One black male and the black female were able to flee the location by running south through Penny Lane Mall, the third suspect with the jewelry in his possession was able to flee the location and run West bound on Rehoboth Avenue after a brief struggle with the female clerk who attempted to restrain him by holding on to his shirt.
The first suspect who was in possession of the jewelry is being described as a black male approximately 6' 00", short hair, approximately 30-35 years old wearing a dark purple polo shirt and dark colored dress pants. The second suspect is being described as a black male with short hair approximately 6' 00" tall, average build, wearing a blue polo shirt with horizontal stripes and dark colored dress pants. The third suspect is being described as a black female approximately 5' 06", wearing a wig with hair that was tampered to the collar and wearing a brown shirt and slacks.
No weapons were displayed at any time. No demands or threats were made. No notes were displayed.
Estimated value of jewelry stolen is $20,000-$40,000.
