Possible Road Closures As Outfall Survey Work Begins

Master Locators have been hired by the city's engineering firm for the ocean outfall and are expected to start survey work to locate utilities on Monday, August 3, 8:00 a.m. They will begin surveying the route of the outfall from the wastewater treatment plant to Deauville Beach. Master Locators are coordinating with DelDOT along state owned roadways including State Road, Rehoboth Avenue and Ocean Drive. Traffic control plans will be in place as lane closures will be necessary in many areas. This important work will last approximately 14 days.
