Grove Park

Grove Park is located at the intersection of Columbia Ave & Grove Street. Surrounded by big trees, Grove Park is great for relaxing in the shade on a hot summer day, or enjoying a picnic with family and friends. The Park has a “Tot Lot” area for children to play, Pavilion seating for large gatherings, Bathrooms and many benches. Grove Park is located near the Visitor Center and Museum. In addition to the ‘tot lot’, there’s newly installed circuit work out equipment with more than ten stations and detailed instructions for each piece of equipment.

Stockley Street Park

This park is located on Stockley Street just west of Scarborough Street. The park has several benches from which one can enjoy a view of Silver Lake. There are several benches and a tot lot for the children. Enjoy the park and don’t forget cracked corn for the ducks.

Lake Gerar Park

Located on Lake Avenue along the northern banks of Lake Gerar, just west of the Henlopen Hotel and Condominiums. There are benches and a Tot Lot for small children.

State Parks

Cape Henlopen State Park

Cape Henlopen State Park is perfect for the adventurous family. The Park is known for its secluded beach, nature center & hiking trails, along with its extended camping facility and fishing area. Cape Henlopen State Park is a popular tourist attraction because it was built around Fort Miles, a historical WWII Military Base. Today, the Park consists of 5193-acres and his home to many birds, reptiles and mammals.

Delaware Seashore State Park

Today, the park is a major attraction for millions of visitors who enjoy the large variety of water-related activities available along Delaware's coast. The main attraction for many visitors is swimming and sunbathing along the park's spectacular beaches. Two ocean swimming areas feature modern bathhouses with showers and changing rooms. Fishing and boating are very popular year-round as well.
