Services/Responsibilities

The City of Rehoboth Beach communications department works to enhance citizen and employee understanding of city objectives, issues, decisions, policies, and programs. The department also seeks to increase citizen engagement and offer meaningful opportunities for feedback about city services, initiatives, and operations.

Members of the media with inquiries and interview requests, please contact the city's communications manager at 302-227-6181, ext. 522 or via email. Please submit all requests for communication or public information through the communications department, which will direct you to the appropriate department and/or staff for comment. 

Sign up to be 'in the know'

The city's digital newsletter, Lines in the Sand, is sent to subscribers' inbox approximately twice a month.

Rehoboth Beach Beacon Alerts are sent to subscribers via text or email when something is not as it should be in the City of Rehoboth Beach. The city sends out time-sensitive alerts, for example, when a road is closed, a water main repair is underway, a summer concert is canceled due to severe weather, or a life-threatening emergency exists. You can sign up for these alerts simply by texting REHOBCH to 888777 or completing this online form.
