Beach Patrol

 

Services/Responsibilities

The Rehoboth Beach Patrol works to ensure public safety along the entire 1.5-mile stretch of beach within city limits, from Prospect Street to Deauville Beach. Rehoboth Beach lifeguards are on duty from the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend through three weeks following Labor Day. Guarded hours are 10 am-5 pm weekdays and 10 am-5:30 pm weekends and holidays.

Beach Wheelchairs

In season, wheelchairs may be borrowed free of charge for the day, from 10 am-5 pm, on a first-come, first-served basis. Wheelchairs are available at Rehoboth Beach Patrol headquarters at 1 Baltimore Avenue and at storage sheds located on the beach at Maryland Avenue and Laurel Street.
