important to double bag food waste to deter birds and cats
from opening and scattering the contents. Place curbside by
7:00 a.m. on the day of collection.
All refuse shall be kept and stored in such a manner that
no obnoxious or otherwise offensive odor such as constitutes a
nuisance is detectable on any adjacent street or property
owned by someone other than the person owning the property
where the refuse is kept or stored. This prohibition shall
also include the container for storing refuse.
Citizens are reminded that the blue refuse barrels located
along the avenues and boardwalk are for use by the general
public for disposal of wastepaper, etc. and may not be used
for disposal of household trash or rubbish.
From Memorial Day through Labor Day a dumpster is available
to Rehoboth Beach residents for household trash only. The
dumpster is located on Lincoln Street adjacent to the old
wastewater treatment plant and is open from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00
p.m. Saturday and Sunday only. Exit off Rehoboth Avenue at
State Road. Go under the overpass, around the bend to Lincoln
Street. Turn right on Lincoln and proceed to fenced-in area on
the right. The large dumpster is on the right.
